In order to combine the high potential of a single wall carbon nanotube with a wide range of industrial applications, we are developing structural control and mass production technology for nanocarbon materials. This will build the foundation for material technology to realize physical, chemical and electrical functions.
By FY2005, we will develop synthetic technology to control the stucture and quality of a single wall carbon nanotube, as well as stable, high yield, mass production technology. We will control physical, chemical and electrical functions, and promote applied R&D aimed at commercialization of fuel cells, device elements and so on.
