High-Performance P-Type Organic Thermoelectric Material Capable of Being Manufactured via Printing

As part of a NEDO project, the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), which is a member of the Thermal Management Materials and Technology Research Association (TherMAT), developed a high-performance p-type organic thermoelectric material that can be manufactured using a printing method. The material showed a power factor of over 600μW/mK2, which is the highest level value among the p-type organic materials fabricated by printing methods.

Based on this result, AIST aims to utilize the material in order to harvest energy from the enormous amount of low-temperature waste heat that exists around us.
