NEDO Participates in World Future Energy Summit 2012

　NEDO participated in World Future Energy Summit 2012, the "world's foremost and must-attend annual meeting for the renewable energy and environment industry" held in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), from January 16 to 19, 2012 to introduce NEDO's various activities for demonstrative projects in the Middle Eastern and North African countries and Japan's smart community and renewable energy technologies. During the Summit, NEDO booth received a number of visitors including His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi (picture shown in the front page) as well as His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the UAE.
　NEDO Chairman Furukawa attended the panel discussion titled "Technology Leaders in Future Energy" and actively exchanged opinions regarding clean energy technologies with seven other participants from world energy industries.
　Taking this opportunity where political and economical leaders of the world assemble, NEDO Chairman Furukawa had a meeting with Dr. Abdullah Farooq, Minister for New and Renewable Energy of India and Mr. Alex Salmond, First Minister of Scotland.
