February 9, 2018

On February 7, 2018, NEDO held a meeting to report the results of its project to develop basic evaluation methods for next generation materials.

In his opening speech, NEDO Executive Director Kiyoshi Imai greeted attendees by saying that NEDO hoped that this project would establish evaluation methods that would become common standards for materials and device manufacturers in the field of organic photovoltaics (OPVs), so as to strengthen cooperation and industrial competitiveness. He also expressed his expectations that this meeting would lead to accelerating the social implementation of OPVs.

At the meeting, NEDO presented the results of the project, including the performance evaluation methods and the life estimation methods for OPVs, while also previewing future evaluation methods for next-generation materials.
