NEDO President YOKOSHIMA Attends "LOI Signing and Exchange Ceremony" in India.

On January 10, 2024, NEDO President YOKOSHIMA Naohiko signed and exchanged a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Ms. Parminder Chopra, Chairman & Managing Director of Power Finance Corporation (PFC), a public financial institution under the India Ministry of Power, for supporting the demonstration project to build a “Micro substation” using Power Voltage Transformer (PVT).

In this project, a micro substation using PVT will be installed in the suburbs of Delhi to directly convert extra high-voltage electricity to low-voltage so power can be supplied to the surrounding area.

After reviewing the demonstration results, the project aims to scale up the technology to stably supply electric power to unelectrified areas.

Nisshin Electric Co., Ltd., which has received a grant from NEDO, plans to initiate the demonstration project in cooperation with a local company, TATA Power Delhi Distribution Ltd.
