President of NSTDA visits NEDO

 President Thaweesak of the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), Thailand and his party visited NEDO on 23rd of August 2010. They had a meeting with President Fukunaga and his colleagues.
 NSTDA is an independent administrative agency under the Ministry of Science and Technology, with the missions of research and development (R&D), technology transfer, development of human resources, upgrading infrastructures and others. It also focuses on international cooperation, underlining particularly the development of relationship with Japan. Working with NEDO, NSTDA has carried out cooperative research projects in the areas of biodiesel and solar cells.
 President Thaweesak, who inaugurated in July, visited Japan for salutation and deepening the cooperative relationship with the related Japanese organizations. NSTDA will put emphasis on R&D in industrial technology area. At the meeting, NSTDA and NEDO had a productive discussion on the potential of cooperation in environmental and energy technology issues.
