October 18, 2010
NEDO and MONRE(the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment) signed the Letter of Intent(LOI) for Waste Power Generation Technologies Demonstration Projects on Oct.15th. The signing ceremony took place in Hanoi city, where NEDO Chairman Murata and MONRE Vice President Ha signed the LOI.

The project will demonstrate Japanese technologies to use efficiently the exhausted gas generated when burning the waste: incinerating waste, rendering exhausted gas and ash harmless to reduce hazardous substances including dioxin.

After the signing ceremony, the above two representatives had a meeting. Murata said that signing the LOI meant just the beginning of this project, and implementing both regulations and solutions for accelerating the project, which was carried out in Japan, is required to make the project successful. They agreed that they would do their best to make the project successful.
