NEDO signed a cooperation agreement with the Singapore Economic Development Board

  NEDO and the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on comprehensive cooperation in joint activities in the field of urban solutions and smart communities. In addition, cooperative relationship between NEDO and the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) of Singapore regarding the implementation of joint project activities was confirmed under this MOU. At the signing of the MOU, Mr. Takefumi Fukumizu, President of NEDO and Mr. Tan Choon Shian, Deputy Managing Director of EDB exchanged opinions with regard to the possibility of cooperation in a broad range of fields as well as the future implementation of projects in third countries.

  EDB is the lead government agency that plans and executes economic strategies that enhance Singapore’s position as a global hub for business, investment and talent. NEDO will support the global development of Japanese enterprises by promoting the implementation of joint projects and capacity-building projects for urban solutions and smart communities including zero emission building (ZEB) in Singapore and third countries.
