Singapore International Water Week 2011

July 14, 2011

NEDO participated from July 5 to 7 in the Singapore International Water Week 2011(SIWW2011), which called for the participation of water-related companies and institutes to introduce their technologies and products.
NEDO presented in its booth the efforts and results of its water treatment demonstrative projects in order to promote recognition for NEDO's global R&D activities for water resource management. On the 7th, visitors to the exhibition were welcomed at NEDO's water management demonstrative project site in Singapore, where they observed project facilities and exchanged opinions.
SIWW 2011 received about 9,000 visitors from Singapore, Middle East, Southeast Asia and Europe, indicating a high level of interest for the global business of water.

NEDO signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Public Utilities Board (PUB) of Singapore in June 2010 and is currently implementing 2 demonstrative research projects in Singapore. During SIWW 2011, Mr. Khoo Teng Chye, Chief Executive of PUB and Mr. Wasaka, Executive Director of NEDO, reconfirmed future cooperative schemes of the projects.
