Japan-Vietnam Public-Private Policy Dialogue

 NEDO Chairman Furukawa attended on August 15, 2012, the 2nd Ministerial-level public-private policy dialogue between Japan and Vietnam and presented NEDO's activities towards the realization of a recycle-oriented low-carbon society in Vietnam with a focus on NEDO's first demonstration project for industrial waste power generation system in the presence of Mr. Edano, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan and Mr. Bui Quang Vinh, Minister of Industry and Trade, and Planning and Investment (MPI) of Vietnam. Prior to the policy dialogue, on August 14, Hitachi Zosen Corporation (Hitz) and Hanoi Urban Environment and Industry Company LTD. (Hanoi URENCO) concluded an implementation document (ID) for the industrial waste power generation project entrusted by NEDO, representing kick-start of a full-scale demonstration project.  
 In addition, Chairman Furukawa had the honor of attending the meeting between Economy, Trade and Industry Minister Edano and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung to introduce NEDO's various activities in Vietnam which have been conducted since 1994.
