Energy and Environment Cooperation with Asian Development Bank

 Mr. Furukawa, Chairman of the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) and Mr. Kuroda, President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on October 11, 2012, to cooperate in the energy and environmental fields in the Asia-Pacific region.  
 At the signing ceremony, Chairman Furukawa stated NEDO's intention to collaborate with ADB in the dissemination of renewable energy technologies, which NEDO has demonstrated through its various project activities, to contribute to the solution of energy and environmental issues in the region. President Kuroda stated that NEDO's technological knowhow would be a strong asset to respond to the region's increasing needs for renewable energy sources and energy conservation technologies. NEDO and ADB from here on will be discussing to make a plan for specific cooperative project activities.
