Rice Husk Gasification Power Generation Project Kicks off in Myanmar

 NEDO announced the launch of the Cooperative Research Project for Improved Operability of Rice Husk Gasification Power Generation in Myanmar at press conference held on January 8, 2013 in Nay Pyi Taw, the capital of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. A project implementation agreement was concluded between Bio Fuel Co. Inc., a Japanese company entrusted by NEDO, and Myanma Agricultural Produce Trading (MAPT).
 NEDO Chairman Furukawa, Industry Minister Aye Myint and Commerce Minister Win Myint agreed to make contributions to the sustainable development of Myanmar through the utmost efforts for facilitating dissemination of the technology in order to achieve successful completion of the project and promotion of Myanmar's renewable energy introduction policy, which will be subsequently conducted.
