President Hato Meet with Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission of India

 NEDO President Hato accompanied Mr. Nobuhiko Sasaki, Vice-Minister for International Affairs, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan on a business trip to India and met with Mr. Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission of India and Mr. Saurabh Chandra, Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion, Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MCI) of India in New Delhi on January 10, 2013.
 During the meeting with Deputy Chairman Ahluwalia, President Hato expressed his gratitude for India's understanding for NEDO projects and requested for continuing support for the projects. Deputy Chairman Ahluwalia responded by expressing his expectation for extensive dissemination of Japan's advanced technologies in India through collaboration with the relevant companies of India.
 Furthermore, based on the agreements in the 6th Japan-India Energy Dialogue concluded on October 2012, it was confirmed that exhibitions and business meetings would be organized this autumn in collaboration between NEDO and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), to further enhance Japan-India Energy Forum to be organized by NEDO and the Energy and Resources Institute(TERI) of India.
