Science and Technology Seminar in Business and Academia in India

 NEDO Chairman Furukawa delivered a keynote speech at the Science and Technology Seminar in Business and Academia, which was held in New Delhi on January 25, 2014, along with Prime Minister Abe’s visit to India. During the speech, Chairman Furukawa introduced NEDO’s demonstrative projects for renewable energy and energy conservation technologies in India mentioning that the results of such projects could potentially make a significant contribution to the resolution of India’s social concerns.
 During the closing session of the Seminar, Prime Minister Abe delivered a speech calling for further advancement of India-Japan cooperative relationship centered on Japan’s advanced technologies.
 The progress of NEDO’s ongoing model project for micro-grid system using large scale PV power generation at Neemrana as well as the satisfaction for the India-Japan Energy Forum 2013 held last September hosted by NEDO were stipulated in the Joint Statement (Advancement of the Strategic and Global Partnership between Japan and India) based on the outcomes of the India-Japan Annual Summit held after the Seminar.
