Facilities Completed for Alternative Fuel Combustion Technology Project in Malaysia’s Cement Industry

 The installation of equipment to utilize alternative fuels at a cement plant in Bahau, Negeri Sembilan, a joint effort between NEDO and the Government of Malaysia, has been completed and a completion ceremony was held at the site on March 17, 2014.
 The ceremony was attended by executives from Malaysia and Japan, including Mr. Munehiko Tsuchiya, Executive Director of NEDO, Mr. Haruo Tsuyuki, President of Taiheiyo Engineering Corporation, the entrusted company of the project, Datin Paduka Nurmala Abd Rahim, Secretary General of the Ministry of Plantation Industries and Commodities of Malaysia and Encik Mohd Yusri Md Yusof, Managing Director of Cement Industries of Malaysia Berhad (CIMA).
 Executive Director Tsuchiya spoke at the ceremony expressing his hope that dissemination of the technology would contribute to resolving Malaysia's energy and environment issues.
