Exchanged Views with President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences

On May 16, Chairman Furukawa held talks with Dr. Bai Chunli, President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and exchanged views on topics such as research and development trends in Japan and China, and the best approach for cooperation between the two organizations.

On the day before the meeting, NEDO and the Shanghai branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences agreed to carry out an energy conservation demonstration project on the site of the Shanghai Advanced Research Institute (SARI), and a memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed.
