May 30, 2014

NEDO and Ministry of Economy of the  Republic of Poland have agreed to carry out a preliminary survey for a smart grid demonstration project in Poland, and on May 26, a Letter of Intent (LOI) was signed by NEDO Chairman Kazuo Furukawa and Mr. Tomasz Tomczykiewicz, Secretary of State, Ministry of Economy, Republic of Poland.

The plan calls for demonstration experiments of interconnecting Polish domestic wind power generation with the grid, by using a stabilization/control system and storage batteries, and fully exploiting the transmission capacity of existing equipment, without enhancing the power grid.
