Talks with Key People in India's National and State Governments

On April 29-30, NEDO Chairman Kazuo Furukawa accompanied Yoichi Miyazawa, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, on a trip to India. In New Delhi, he spoke with Mr. Piyush Goyal, Minister of Power, Coal, & New and Renewable Energy, Mr. Ravi Shankar Prasad, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, and Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. It was confirmed that the two sides will engage in even greater cooperation regarding the technology demonstration projects and other efforts currently being carried out by NEDO in India.

In addition, Chairman Furukawa participated in the India-Japan Public-Private Investment & Trade Promotion Policy Dialogue led by Minister Miyazawa and Minister of Commerce and Industry, Dr. Nirmala Sitharaman. It was confirmed that the two sides will continue to cooperate to achieve results in the microgrid technology demonstration project using solar power which is currently being implemented by NEDO in the Neemrana Industrial Park (Rajasthan).
