NEDO Held a Seminar on Wind Power Generation System Demonstration in Kamchatka Krai, Russia

On September 8th, NEDO held a seminar regarding the "Demonstration Project on Cold Climate-resistant Wind Power Generation Systems in Isolated Grid Areas" in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky in Kamchatka Krai, where the demonstration project is taking place.

Participants included NEDO Chairman Kazuo Furukawa, Mr. V. I. Ilyukhin, Governor of Kamchatka Krai, and Mr. Sergei Tolstoguzov, Director General, RAO Energy System of the East.

NEDO Executive Director Munehiko Tsuchiya explained the wind power generation technology for cold regions and the power supply stabilization technologies for areas with isolated grid systems.

About 30 participants joined the seminar, including Russian and Japanese agencies, companies, and demonstration project participants.
