NEDO Held the Elements Strategy/ Rare Metal Substitute Materials Development: The 10th Joint Symposium

NEDO held the Elements Strategy/ Rare Metal Substitute Materials Development: The 10th Joint Symposium in conjunction with the Cabinet Office of the Government of Japan; the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT); the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI); and the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST).

The purpose of the symposium was to encourage lively discussion on the issue of technical development of solutions to rare element resource problems outside of the typical ministerial framework. Results from NEDO's "Rare Metal Substitute Materials Development Project" and JST's "Elements Strategy Project" were presented. In addition, the highlights from the discussions at the "Elements Strategy/ Rare Metal Substitute Materials Development Joint Strategy Meeting", which was consisted of a group of external experts, were reported as part of the event.
