Attending the Meeting of Global Smart Grid Federation

On April 5, the Global Smart Grid Federation (GSGF) held its bi-annual meeting in Dublin, Ireland. The GSGF is composed of organizations from 18 countries/regions to promote smart grid implementation. Makoto Watanabe, Executive Director of NEDO (Secretary General of JSCA) and Vice Chair of GSGF, gave the opening remarks and referred to promote discussion based on the experience in each country can be contributed dissemination of smart grid technology.

In the conference, as part of the GSGF activities, the formation of a new working group focused micro grid, led by Japan and US aiming to analyze the global situation of efforts were announced. Mr. Watanabe, as a co-chair of the group called for the attendee’s participation.
