September 13, 2016

NEDO and 500 startups, a well-known accelerator in Silicon Valley, held a seminar “Corporate Startup Innovation Series –Tokyo” on September 12.

This seminar was aimed at Japanese corporate managers who are in charge of Open Innovation activities in their companies. During the seminar, the 500 startups team shared their thoughts on the ecosystem of international startups and how the corporates can collaborate with startups, and the presenters and the participants had lively discussions on these topics. The founder of 500 startups Dave McClure told the audience that the most of the investments in startups fail but a few percentages of successful investments may have a large impact on corporates’ future. The event had over 120 attendees.

We also held another seminar for the board members who are responsible for Open Innovation activities at large Japanese corporations on the same topic.
