"NEDO Forum 2016 in Kanto" Held

On September 16, 2016, NEDO held the "NEDO Forum 2016 in Kanto" in Saitama City.

In the opening speech, NEDO Chairman Kazuo Furukawa greeted attendees by saying that NEDO hopes that this forum can contribute to revitalizing the economy in Kanto by introducing NEDO's support systems and how local companies and universities can take advantage of them.

At the forum Emeritus Professor of the University of Tokyo Dr. Eng. Sato Tomomasa delivered the keynote lecture and project contractors gave lectures on NEDO project case studies. NEDO representatives provided information on NEDO's organizational profile and proposal solicitations, and they were joined by representatives from the Kanto Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry, the Saitama Prefectural Government, the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), the Organization for Small & Medium Enterprises and Regional Innovation JAPAN, and the Japanese Standards Association who provided information on their own projects and activities. NEDO also offered individual consultations about NEDO's current project solicitations. Approximately 290 people participated in the forum.
