"NEDO Robot-AI Forum 2016" Held at "Japan Robot Week 2016"

As part of its participation in "Japan Robot Week 2016", which took place from October 19 to October 21 at Tokyo Big Sight, NEDO held the "NEDO Robot-AI Forum 2016".

In the forum, NEDO introduced its new initiatives and other programs, while experts who are on the frontline of academic and industry research provided lectures about the latest trends in robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) technology R&D and business, as well as topics such as issues facing the future societal implementation of robot and AI technologies. NEDO Chairman Kazuo Furukawa greeted attendees by saying that NEDO would like to further promote projects in the fields of robotics and AI technology to contribute to the realization of the fourth industrial revolution.

In addition, the NEDO booth held an exhibition and demonstration featuring 10 state-of-the-art robots that are expected to achieve extensive real world use in various fields, including manufacturing, services, life support, infrastructure maintenance, and disaster response. At the booth, presentations by exhibitors were also held and attracted many visitors.
