"NEDO Forum 2016 in Kinki" Held

On November 2, 2016, NEDO held the "NEDO Forum 2016 in Kinki" in Osaka City.

In the opening speech, NEDO President Akihiko Miyamoto greeted attendees by saying that NEDO hopes that this forum can contribute to revitalizing the economy in Kinki by introducing NEDO's support systems and how local companies and universities can take advantage of them.

At the forum Professor Hiroyuki Morikawa of the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology at the University of Tokyo delivered the keynote lecture and project contractors gave lectures on NEDO project case studies. NEDO representatives provided information on NEDO's organizational profile and proposal solicitations, and they were joined by representatives from the Kinki Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry, the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), the Organization for Small & Medium Enterprises and Regional Innovation JAPAN, and the Japanese Standards Association who provided information on their own projects and activities. NEDO also offered individual consultations about NEDO's current project solicitations. Approximately 260 people participated in the forum.
