"NEDO Forum 2016 in Chubu" Held

On November 10, 2016, NEDO held the "NEDO Forum 2016 in Chubu" in Nagoya City.

In the opening speech, NEDO Executive Director Atsushi Fukuda greeted attendees by saying that NEDO hopes that this forum can contribute to revitalizing the economy in Chubu by introducing NEDO's support systems and how local companies and universities can take advantage of them.

At the forum, Nagoya Institute of Technology Vice President Osamu Eryu delivered the keynote lecture and project contractors gave lectures on NEDO project case studies. NEDO representatives provided information on NEDO's organizational profile and proposal solicitations, and they were joined by representatives from the Chubu Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry, the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), the Organization for Small & Medium Enterprises and Regional Innovation JAPAN, and the Japanese Standards Association who provided information on their own projects and activities. NEDO also offered individual consultations about NEDO's current project solicitations. Approximately 160 people participated in the forum.
