NEDO Held the "SIP/2016 Symposium for SIP Next Generation Power Electronics"

On November 21, 2016, NEDO co-hosted the "SIP/2016 Symposium for SIP Next Generation Power Electronics" with the Cabinet Office of the Government of Japan in Tokyo.

At the symposium, Program Director Tatsuo Omori and the project leaders gave lectures on the general plan and current situation concerning the research project on "Next Generation Power Electronics" as part of the "Cross-Ministerial Strategic Innovation Promotion Program (SIP)", for which NEDO serves as the secretariat. In addition, NEDO showcased posters and prototypes as part of the research results on Next Generation Power Modules, which provided participants with the opportunity for a useful exchange of views.

More than 200 people participated in the symposium. The symposium gathered various opinions and generated significant interest regarding the importance of exit strategies and the sharing of information among the participants.
