NEDO signed a joint declaration of intent with the Government of the Sakha Republic and PJSC RusHydro

On December 16, 2016, NEDO, the Government of the Sakha Republic and PJSC RusHydro signed a joint declaration of intent (JDI) aiming to promote the expansion of wind power generation systems at the venue of the "Japan-Russia Business Dialogue Meeting" in Tokyo.

The JDI is focused on cooperation in energy development planning, part of the eight-point cooperation plan in the economic field that was discussed at the Japan-Russia Summit Meeting. NEDO Chairman Kazuo Furukawa, Head of the Sakha Republic Yegor Borisov and CEO of PJSC RusHydro Nikolay Shulginov signed the JDI. Chairman Furukawa met with Head of the Sakha Republic Borisov and CEO Shulginov on the day before the meeting. They talked about the weather and wind conditions in the Sakha Republic.
