NEDO Gave a Lesson at an Elementary School in Kawasaki City

January 16, 2017

On January 13, 2017, NEDO gave a lesson at the Ogura Elementary School in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa, which is an energy education model school of the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy. After learning about alternative energy, the children in the fifth-grade class performed an experiment with fuel cells to cultivate a better understanding of the subject.

In addition, children learned about alternative energy as a class through learning models to understand the mechanisms behind heat pumps and mega solar power generation, after which they tried to answer a quiz about alternative energy and tested a solar powered car outdoors.

This school visit is a part of a promotion project for environmental and science education based on the Cooperative Agreement on Next-Generation Industry Promotion signed between NEDO and Kawasaki City.
