NEDO Held the 8th German-Japanese Dialogue Forum for Environment and Energy

On February 9 and 10, 2017, NEDO held the 8th German-Japanese Dialogue Forum for Environment and Energy in Tokyo in collaboration with the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi).

This year's theme was a "New Framework for Energy that Contributes to Global Environmental Conservation Measures." Presentations and discussions were conducted regarding the latest technology development efforts and future directions to be addressed for development of technologies necessary for the further introduction of renewable power, particularly "power supply stabilization," "technology innovation" and "policies for promoting the introduction of renewables," based on the abundant experience of Japan and Germany in proactively promoting the introduction of renewable energy.

Approximately 300 people visited over the two days, indicating great interest in the forum.
