NEDO Chairman Furukawa Met with the Governor of the Saudi Arabian Saline Water Conversion Corporation and Participated in the "Ministerial Joint Group for Saudi-Japan Vision 2030"

On March 14, 2017, NEDO Chairman Kazuo Furukawa met with Governor H.E. Eng. Ali Abdulrahman Al-Hazmi of the Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) of Saudi Arabia. They reconfirmed the commitment of NEDO and SWCC to cooperate on the introduction and expansion of seawater desalination and water reclamation technologies in Saudi Arabia.

On the evening of March 14, Chairman Furukawa participated in the "Ministerial Joint Group for Saudi-Japan Vision 2030".

At the meeting, both governments signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) regarding seawater desalination and water reclamation technologies in the presence of the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan Hiroshige Seko and the Minister of Economy and Planning of Saudi Arabia H.E. Eng. Adel Fakeih, and discussions were held aimed at realizing the "Saudi Japan Vision 2030".
