NEDO Held the "Japan - Sri Lanka Technology & Business Seminar 2017"

On March 16, 2017, NEDO co-hosted the "Japan - Sri Lanka Technology & Business Seminar 2017" with the Sri Lanka Energy Managers Association (SELMA) in Colombo, the largest city in the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.

In the opening speech, NEDO President Akihiko Miyamoto greeted attendees by saying that NEDO would like to introduce Japanese energy and environmental technologies throughout Sri Lanka, while also contributing to promoting investment by companies from both countries and building a sustainable society in Sri Lanka.

At the seminar, Chief Representative of the NEDO Representative Office in New Delhi Tetsuya Tanaka and representatives from nine Japanese Companies presented technologies for renewable energy, energy efficiency and smart community systems, and there was a lively exchange of views by the presenters and other participants regarding matching technologies to the needs of Sri Lankans.
