NEDO Signed a Joint Declaration of Intent in the Field of Secondary Battery with the Federal Ministry of Education and Research of the Federal Republic of Germany

On May 24, 2017, NEDO and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research of the Federal Republic of Germany (BMBF) agreed to further cooperate in the field of secondary battery technology and signed a joint declaration of intent to that effect.

This memorandum of understanding (MOU) revises a previous agreement regarding cooperation in the field which was concluded in September 2010.

Based on this joint declaration of intent, NEDO and BMBF aim to further strengthen bilateral cooperation by supporting collaboration between researchers from both countries and promoting bilateral cooperation in research as well as enhanced information exchange.

The signing was carried out at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Japan by NEDO President Akihiko Miyamoto and BMBF Parliamentary State Secretary Stefan Müller.
