NEDO Held an Opening Ceremony Marking Start of Operations for Microgrid Photovoltaic Power Generation System in India

On August 11, 2017, NEDO held a ceremony marking the start of operations for a microgrid photovoltaic power generation system in the Neemrana Industrial Park of Rajasthan, India.

At the ceremony, the Japanese delegation was represented by NEDO Chairman Kazuo Furukawa, as well as Kenji Hiramatsu, Ambassador Extraordinaire and Plenipotentiary of Japan to India, and representatives of Hitachi, Ltd., Hitachi Systems, Ltd., and the Itochu Corporation. India was represented by Ramesh Abhishek, Secretary of the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and Alkesh Kumar Sharma, CEO of Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corp., Ltd. (DMICDC).
