"NEDO Forum 2017 in Hyogo" Held

On September 26, NEDO held its "NEDO Forum 2017 in Hyogo" in Kobe City.

In his opening speech, NEDO Special Adviser Masayoshi Watanabe greeted attendees by saying that NEDO hopes that this forum can contribute to supporting local companies and universities as they start new businesses, while also revitalizing the economy in the Kansai region, including Kobe, by taking advantage of NEDO's support systems.

At the special symposium on hydrogen, Professor Ken Okazaki of the Tokyo Institute of Technology delivered the keynote lecture, and Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems, Ltd. and Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. also both gave lectures on NEDO project case studies. At the explanatory meeting, NEDO representatives provided information on proposal solicitation, and they were joined by representatives from the Kansai Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry, the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), the Organization for Small & Medium Enterprises and Regional Innovation JAPAN, and the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), which each provided information on their own projects and activities. NEDO also offered individual consultations about NEDO's current project solicitations. More than 190 people participated in the forum.
