NEDO Participated in COP23

November 17, 2017

NEDO held three side events at COP23 in Bonn, Germany on November 14 and November 16, 2017.

At the first event, NEDO held a special event for the Innovation for Cool Earth Forum (ICEF) as a COP official side event. The second event was held at the Japan Pavilion, where two ICEF roadmaps of CO2 Utilization 2.0 and Energy Storage were officially launched. At both events, NEDO Special Adviser Makoto Watanabe gave lectures presenting an overview of the fourth annual meeting of the ICEF.

NEDO hosted the third event together with Japan Business Federation, the Global Industrial and Social Progress Research Institute (GISPRI), and the Institute of Energy Economics, Japan (IEEJ). NEDO Special Adviser Watanabe greeted attendees by saying that NEDO would like to promote "co-innovation"* based on its experiences with international demonstration projects, and thus contribute to climate change countermeasures.
