NEDO Signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Fukushima Prefecture for Robot and Drone Demonstration Project

On November 22, NEDO Chairman Kazuo Furukawa and Governor Masao Uchibori of Fukushima Prefecture signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) regarding a demonstration project for robots and drones at the Fukushima Robot Test Field. The signing was witnessed by the State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Yoji Muto and took place at the "Robot and Aerospace Festa Fukushima 2017" in Koriyama City, Fukushima.

At the ceremony, NEDO Chairman Furukawa greeted attendees by saying that today was a memorable day for Fukushima Prefecture and NEDO, and that NEDO would like to promote the project through further cooperation with the government and people of Fukushima Prefecture.

At the "Robot and Aerospace Festa Fukushima 2017," NEDO showcased drones at the presentation space on November 22 and 23. NEDO also held a session on November 22 in order to introduce projects for realizing an energy-efficient society by utilizing robots and drones, which is the subject of the MOU.
