"2017 Strategy for International Standardization (AIST) - Exit Strategies of Developments (NEDO) Joint Symposium" Held

On December 1, 2017, NEDO, AIST (National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology), and the MONODZUKURI Nippon Conference jointly held the "2017 Strategy for International Standardization (AIST) - Exit Strategies of Developments (NEDO) Joint Symposium" in Tokyo.

The symposium was titled "For Exit Strategies of 'Things to Come' with Connecting, Expanding, and Accelerating.': Working Toward a Society Based on Creating New Value by Utilizing Connected Industries, Internet of Things (IoT), and Artificial Intelligence (AI)." At the symposium, speakers introduced public and private projects responding to global changes, as well as various projects from NEDO and AIST aimed at realizing the "Things to Come." This was followed by a panel discussion regarding prospects and directional properties for "A Society Based on Creating New Value." NEDO Adviser Dr. Koichi Ogawa, Senior Researcher at the University of Tokyo's Policy Alternatives Research Institute, served as the moderator of a lively discussion with the other panelists.
