December 25, 2017

On December 24, 2017, NEDO Chairman Kazuo Furukawa and Vice Director Zhang Yong of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) of the People’s Republic of China signed an MOC on further cooperation in the field of energy-efficient and environmentally friendly technologies. The signing took place at the Eleventh Japan-China Energy Conservation and Environment Forum held in Tokyo.

NDRC is a macroeconomic management agency that is responsible for policy research, planning, and structural adjustment to further the development of China's economy and society leading to systemic economic reform.

For over twenty years, NEDO has had a cooperative relationship with NDRC that includes conducting demonstration projects in China. Based on the new MOC, NEDO and NDRC aim to further strengthen their bilateral cooperation by supporting the mutual exchange of information and personnel.
