英文要約Non Freon thermal insulation foam materials have been developed so far for building insulation use to provide a good insulation performance. However, they still need further improvements in their performance and environmental properties due to their insufficient insulation properties when compared to conventional Freon insulation materials and their high global warming potentials.
In this study, we have developed thermal insulation foam sheets that can exhibit excellent insulation and environmental properties, in order to design a novel, innovative non Freon thermal insulation material with properties improved in both practical and environmental aspects.
1. Study on foaming technology to improve the insulation properties
Evaluation of customers shows that new thermal insulation foam sheets composed of PLA do not have enough thermal resistance and durability, so we have researched new foaming technology of PET. As a result of controlling melt viscosity and melt strength of PET by co~polymerization, we have succeeded in foaming PET at the magnification of 40 times and reducing its thermal conductivity to 0.024W/mK, which is target of this project.
2. Study on gas barrier technology to improve durability of insulation properties
We have researched cost-reduction formulation of gas barrier film. As a result of having researched barrier mechanism of aluminum vapor deposited layer, we found out that surface free energy is important and we have developed a novel gas barrier film whose carbon dioxide permeability is 0.04cc/m2・24hr・atm or less without use of high-priced polymer.
