�p���v�� This project was conducted to make and standardize the evaluation method of biocompatibility, regeneration effect and absorbability of bioceramics on living body. The committee consisted to discuss the standard draft for evaluation method and plan for standardization. In order to pick out the problem on making the evaluation method for biocompatibility, regeneration effect and absorbability of bioceramics, pre-round robin test was conducted on in vitro and in vivo. It was concluded to be importance to mimic the in vivo environment and setting the parameter for evaluation. The papers related to bioceramics were extracted from two international journals and summarized the testing method using in papers. In addition, it was investigated the standard related to bioceramics in JIS, ISO and ASTM. As a result, it was not found the standard to evaluate the biocompatibility, regeneration effect and absorbability of bioceramics in current standard. In addition, in order to research the promotion for standardization of evaluation method of biocompatibility, regeneration effect and absorbability of bioceramics in overseas, we introduced this project in Japan and requested the cooperation for standardization in India, France and Germany.
