(1)セルロース系エタノールの加速的先導技術研究開発に参画する研究チームへの情報提供、バイオマス前処理物の研究チーム間の相互利用・検証の連携の推進本テーマでは、以下に示すア~オの5 グループ・9 チームの基本方針、実施計画ならびに成果の審議・指導を実施するともに、各種情報共有と相互連携を図ることを目的としている。

Comprehensive Promotion and Evaluation Study has three main themes. (1) Information provision to study groups participating in the accelerated technology development for cellulose-origin ethanol production, and mutual exploitation/evaluation among them; (2) Implementation of economic evaluation/LCA relating to systematic utilization of biomass, and establishment of methods for impact analysis over society, environment and culture; (3) Examination of promising production sites for biomass and of business models.
Under the first theme, presentations by study groups on the results and discussion on development targets were made in the bio-fuel challenge committee. For promoting mutual exploitation of techniques among the study groups, workshops were held and contributed to information cooperation among the study groups. In addition, it contributed to the efficiency improvement of the process development of the study groups by the economy evaluation and LCA based on the tentative data having been offered by the study groups to the bioethanol development bench mark, and examined the methods of handling the amount of the heat of combustion and the generation electric power by the use of the by-product.
Under the second theme, for the framework of economic evaluation, the validity of the experimental data having been offered by the research team was verified. The cost of construction and the amount of the energy use were calculated. The bioethanol manufacturing price in the model business whole was calculated based on the data of the feedstock production and the transportation process. In LCA, The GHG exhaust amount calculation tool was maintained in the technological performance evaluation by LCA in accordance with "Sustainability criterion that lay a biofuel introduction". The tool to the study groups was offered. It proposed the strategy for the achievement of the introduction target of the biofuel. For establishing methods of impact analysis over society, environment and culture, the methods of impact analysis technique to the society, the environment, and the culture was reviewed. And, the sustainability criterion of each country of foreign countries and the international organization was considered and, the aspect and the frame of the tenability evaluation according to the biofuel production were arranged.
Under the third theme, narrowing that used the high resolution satellite image for 14 production sites of ASEAN countries that had been listed in 2009FY was done. When squeezing and crowding, it proposed the narrowing technique that used the spectacle forecast evaluation index (vegetation index, adjacent environmental index, and geographical features index). The promising production ground was narrowed by using the technique and about six places have been extracted. Moreover, results of an overseas plantation were investigated about the feedstock production and the raw material transportation in the business model examination based on the basic data that had been examined in 2009. And, an actual raw material production situation in the plantation and the outline of the form of transport were understood. And, information necessary for the calculation of the raw material unit requirement was arranged.
