英文要約Title : Preliminary Study on Energy Utilization of Biomass like Rice Husk in Rural Area, Royal Cambodia (FY2010-FY2011) FY2010 Annual Report
1. Objective : The objective of this study is to contribute to a regional development and energy supply/ demand in Cambodia with implementing the following survey. - To survey waste biomass of agriculture in Cambodian rural area, particularly the of rice husk, and - Subsequently to examine the prospects of technology and business model which converts rice-husk energy to biomass fuel, and the possibility of energy saving. 2. Results of the study : 2.1 Research of actual conditions of rice husk utilization in Cambodia : The annual production of paddy rice increased twice as much as 10 years before and reached 7.6 million tonne in 2009, of which the dry-season production was 20%. The paddy rice domestically polished was supposedly 64%, and the other paddy rice was exported to Vietnam and Thai without polishing. The rice mills accounted for around 27,000 mills of which the major numbers were occupied by the small scale mills with the paddy processing capacity less than 10 tonne. 2.2 Investigation and conception design of a business model for rice husk utilization consisting rice-husk power generation : Some local rice millers introduces a rice-husk gasifier of Indian model in which rice husk is inputed at 100 - 200 kg/hr and gasifyed in a reactor at 900 - 1,100 dgree Cersius, subsequently the combustible gas is flown into an engine. The advantage/ disadvantage were examined with assessing environmental laod. On the assumption that two kilns of continuous pyrolysis with the processing capacity of 900 kg/hr, the advangates/disadvantages of some power generating technologies were examined on the views of caloritic heat, generationg capacity, maintenance procedures, utility, etc. The problems are investigated on the systems connecting the polishing processors to a drier based on the issues of power generators mentioned above. The quality and soil ammendment effect of kuntan (rice-husk char) produced in the pyrolysis kiln were examined by researching the Japanese present data and literature. The rice mills in Cambodia were classified into 3 categories with their process capacity, and the differences of infrastructure/equipment between them were examined. The power is generally driven directly from the engine, and the electric power is rarely used in the rice mills. The amount of consumed power at the rice mills were calculated from their present composition of every equipment, and the relationship between the process capacity of paddy rice and the power required. The rice quality of moisure content, broken ratio, etc. was investigated, and analized on the relation to sales price. The export rice holds a low ratio of broken rice, and its price with higher quality raises 4 times as much as the domestic rice. 2.3 Clarification of prerequisite for implementing a business project of rice husk utilization involving rice-husk power generation: ( The results and analysis is still under implementation. )
