<目的>
LED照明のための新しい演色性評価方法、LED照明のもつ“特徴的な視覚的・感性的効果”を明らかにし、LED照明の演色性を正しく評価する方法の基礎研究を行う。今期は、多色のLED照明を試作し、LED照明の感性的な好ましさに基づいた演色性評価の基盤データ蓄積のための予備的な主観評価研究を行う。
(1) 目的
LED 照明に対しての演色性評価においては従来の白熱電球や蛍光ランプでの評価手法をそのまま適用できず,性能を正しく定めることができない状況にある.そこで,LED 照明のもつ特徴的な視覚的・感性的効果を明らかにし,LED 照明の演色性を正しく評価する方法について,感性的な好ましさに基づいた検討を行う.
平成22 年度は,多色のLED を採用した可変スペクトルの大型の照明装置を試作し,照明装置の特性測定を行うとともに,基盤データ蓄積のための予備的な主観評価実験を実施する.

1. Study of color rendering properties of LED lighting
To develop the new evaluation method of the color rendering properties of LED lighting, the two kinds of experiments ((1) the subjective evaluation of color reproduction based on color fidelity and (2) the subjective evaluation of color reproduction based on color preference) were carried out for the pilot studies in the 2010 program.
As the results of the 2010 program, we confirmed that the magnitude of color fidelity and color preference could be evaluated subjectively.
We are going to report the summary of the results of color fidelity experiments to TC1-69 of CIE as a Japanese opinion.
As for the color preference experiments, it was made clear that the tendency to how to see the color under the LED lighting with various CCT(correlated color temperature) and with the color rendering properties was able to be evaluated subjectively.
2. Study of unpleasant glare of LED lighting
To develop the method of evaluating unpleasant glare of the LED lighting, a preliminary experiment was started in the 2010 program.
With the improvement in luminous efficiency of white light-emitting diodes (LEDs), the use of white LEDs as light sources for indoor lighting has shown a considerable increase. However, the performance of white LEDs, including their maximum luminance, luminance distribution of luminous surface and so on, differs from that of existing light sources. So, the mere replacement of existing light sources with white LEDs sometimes causes differences in discomfort glare. Therefore, we have developed the evaluation method of source-independent. In present term, it has been done the extraction of problems for existing method (1,2), the construction of apparatus measuring gaze (3) and luminance distribution (4).
The results obtained in the preliminary experiments are as follows,
・Several white LEDs lighting were felt as more glaring than calculated glare. That is, the impression expected from UGR in the lighting sometimes causes differences in the real one.
・The relationship between the impression expected from UGR and the real one in white LEDs lighting was wide variability than one of fluorescent (FL) lighting. That is, it is difficult to simulate discomfort glare in white LEDs lighting than one in FL lighting.
