蓄電技術をセル・モジュールレベルとシステムレベルとに区別し、それぞれの構成要素を勘案しコストの評価項目にっいて検討した。検討にあたっては、蓄電技術の開発者(主として実用化技術開発、要素技術開発を受託している法人、以下「開発者」という)が実施を予定している評価項目やその内容を調査するとともに、各種文献等の調査を並行して行い、コストを評価するために必要な項目を導いた。

This research had analyzed electric energy storage system in terms of cost, safety and performance including lifetime, based on the evaluation of “Development of Energy Storage System for Grid ? connection with Renewable Energy Resources- - Basic research for the fundamental study to evaluate various factors, including the safety and usable life of energy storage 2006.” Also, we studies evaluations methods for various types of electric energy storage technologies by analyzing its specifications and characteristics, in cooperation with the companies developing electric energy storage system in the NEDO project. For cost, we examined its extension of how to estimate and drafted evaluation method. To estimate the lifetime by accelerated degradation tests of small-scale cells and so on, we proposed simplified charge/discharge profiles, which shall be able to simulate the actual operating conditions of energy storage systems that smooth the output fluctuations of wind power generation and /or PV power generation. And, for safety and performance, we researched the necessary items for its evaluation, in reference to the current standards and related documents, and drafted its evaluation method. In addition, the evaluation methods were reviewed with the expert committee and working group; drafted ones were supervised with those professionals.
