 産業発展と人口増を背景に水不足問題が深刻化している中東諸国においては、本来淡水資源が乏しく、これまで海水淡水化に注力してきたが、さらに廃水の再利用に対する潜在的ニーズが高く、水循環システムの構築が強く望まれている。
英文要約Outline of the project : Water shortage has been quite serious problem due to expansion of industry and increase of population in Middle East. Thus seawater desalination has been focused on in the area since freshwater resources have been limited.
However, there is a significant potential need to reuse waste water, and the establishment of a water circulation system is highly anticipated. We hold a lot of references applying our various kinds of water treatment technologies. Particularly we have a unique membrane separation technology that products high quality water. We aim at the business development to meet this waste water reuse needs through the establishment of our water treatment technology.
In this project we study and demonstrate the re-use technology at SIPA using oily wastewater discharged from the existing wastewater treatment plant that is located in ORPC(Oman Refineries and Petrochemicals Company, ORPC). Furthermore, it is intended to create the most suitable treatment system to get the treated water that adapted to a quality of the water standard. In addition, we will establish the co-operation party with MISC (Majis Industrial Services SAOC), associated institutions, the local companies for actual business after this project. At first we carry out feasibility study and study the demonstration based on the result. Of these, we carried the design and a part of the production of the trial plant which was a part of the feasibility study in 2011.
