To determine the interface of the machinery part of the storage battery, Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA), specifications required for the lower layer (machinery side) was examined and summarized based on the higher layer (EMS) requirement. Henceforth basic specifications (basic functions, system composition and the interface) were designed. Interfaces includes those necessary for the primary connection, comprehension of the current situation, fixed-model storage battery meant for regulating demand-and-supply response and battery energy storage system for customers. In addition, affirmation of these specifications is executed through a joint project (R&D of Lithium-ion battery system interface standardization and Global market analysis).Prior to the functions of SCADA and the Collection & Distribution equipment, basic specifications were optimized based on various factors, such as the economical efficiency, maintainability and the ease of implementation. Functions required for SCADA have been examined and evaluated with respect to the much more superior side of the interface. The purpose is for easy supervisory control of various battery systems for regulation of power supply and demand. A proposal of the required specification for the interface at lower-layer side has thus been drafted it.
