(1)CTA 系中空糸膜の形成
逆浸透膜用CTA 中空糸膜の製造技術を基に、逆浸透用に製造されている中空糸膜を正浸透用膜モジュールの検討用の中空糸膜として形成した。外径は約1 7 5μ m 、内径は約1 00 μ m である。
英文要約1) Hollow Fiber Membrane Formation for Cellulose Triacetate Material: Based on the manufacturing technology of reverse osmosis hollow fiber membrane for cellulose triacetate material, we manufactured reverse osmosis hollow fiber membrane to study the module structure for PRO(Pressure Retarded Osmosis). We have obtained the hollow fiber membrane in the following dimension; outer diameter=approximately 175 micro meter inner diameter=approximately 100 micro meter. 2) Module Fabrication for Cellulose Triacetate Hollow fiber membrane: To analyze the module configuration and flow channel affected by the permeability behavior of pressure retarded osmosis phenomenon, we fabricated hollow fiber membrane elements in different lengths and with different packing densities. Also these elements were fabricated by the basic reverse osmosis membrane element fabrication technology. The packing densities of hollow fibers are ranging approximately from 50% to 60%, and lengths of elements are from 0.4m to 0.7m. 3) Improvement in Design for PRO Membrane Element Testing Unit: To evaluate element configuration, we built a simplified test unit to measure PRO performance. We measured the PRO performance with the above-mentioned fabricated elements which hollow fibers are made of cellulose triacetate under the condition of saline water of 3.5%NaCl solution and fresh tap water. We confirmed that the level of pressure retarded osmosis performance depends on the packing density and length of element. 4) Stimulation for Pressure Retarded Osmosis Performance of Hollow Fiber Membrane Module: To analyze the pressure retarded osmosis performance, the following formulas were used; Membrane permeability equation which applied solution-diffusion model and pressure loss formula which applied Hagen-Poiseuille equation. And also to analyze the concentration polarization of high salt concentration side, a mass transfer equation which is used for analytical model of hollow fiber reverse osmosis membrane module, was used. The results also showed that the level of pressure retarded osmosis depends on the length of element.
