[EMCについて]
EMC(ElectroMagnetic Casting)法は、太陽電池用多結晶の1製法であり、抵抗率を全長で一定にでき、生産性も高いことが特徴として挙げられる。

1.Three n type multicrystalline ingots were grown by EMC(ElectroMagnetic Casting). As done in the previous year, various resistivity samples ranging from 1 to 23 Ohm-cm were prepared from these ingots. 2. Lifetime and conversion efficiency was measured after Boron diffusion with various temperature anneal. Higher the annealing temperature is, lower the lifetime. However, conversion efficiency doesn't depend on the temperature. This suggests that the recombination sites due to crystal defects were passivated by hydrogenation. Since the efficiency is still 16.2%, it is a challenge in FY2012 to improve crystal defects and metal contamination.
