Extracting issues for standardization of Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) panes for lighting has been performed in the 2nd year of the NEDO project of "Standardization of OLED lighting (2010FY~2013FY)".
These works have performed under the supervisor of ‘’the OLED lighting Advisory Committees’’ (seven meetings were held). The committee has been organized under the support of the NEDO project, whose members were collected from experts of Photometry and Radiometry of the lighting from the academics, national research institutes, and industry groups.
We have also prepared a public institution named “OPEN Labo.”, where the equipments and facilities for photometry and radiometry are available freely both for the academic and the industrial researchers to contribute to industrial developments of OLED lighting.
In addition, we performed a series of psychophysical experiments to study the perceptual aspects on the uniformity of the panels and the angular dependent chromatic shifts. This year, we conducted basic experiment to measure detection threshold for the luminance gradient, and the forced-choice experiment to pursue the chromatic trajectory that gives stronger impression of the color shift.
